The Basin Reserve

This iconic ground is more than just the home of Cricket Wellington and occasionally the BLACKCAPS and WHITEFERNS – it’s a place of true community significance for all Wellingtonians that is a great option for your next business or social event.
Affectionately known as ‘The Basin’, this centrally located facility offers two hireable venue spaces in the RA Vance stand, with capacity for up to 200 standing and 150 seated theatre style.
Off-street carparking is available, and the rooms come with the latest audio visual technology integrated as well as high-speed WiFi.

We understand how essential quality audio-visual solutions are to every event. This is why Black & Gold chooses to partner with leading supplier AV Media, who have installed top of the range equipment in both the Longroom and Norwood rooms at the Basin Reserve.
The team at AV Media are specialists, and will work with you to ensure all all areas of your event are managed with the correct equipment, and experienced technicians will be available on-site.
